Feeling Disgruntled re clothing for shower.
So DH was kind enough to actually take me shopping yesterday. Well we went for both of us as there were things we both needed.
We went to the Maternity store in the Source Mall so I could try and find something to wear to my shower (which is in 13 days). I try on XL, which is what I had mostly been wearing in maternity stuff....Yeah right! The tops were so tight, I could fit them over my ginormous boobs! So DH hit up the Plus size section....anything i like was only in 2x. Fine. I found 1 outfit I sorta liked, and we bought it, but I am not thrilled with it.
Especially after seeing recent shower pics of you lovely ladies, I want to wear something cute, but having NO luck.
Can anyone recommend a store that has a decent plus size section that I ca try stuff on???
I usually get stuff from Old Navy, but think it's a little casual for the shower.
TIA!!

I would try a regular plus size non-maternity store. There are SO many styles out right now that are flattering to pregnant women....I bet you could find a cute dress that isn't necessarily maternity..good luck!

You may want to try JC Penney. They have a decent sized maternity department - though I dont know the quality of the clothes since Im not looking at them. You may hit it lucky.

I was at Old Navy in Bayshore this weekend and they had a ton of short sleeve faux wrap dresses in black and in green in sizes XS to XXL. I think with the right accessories it could look really cute. If it stays this cold you could wear with cute cardigan and boots.

I live in Ozone Park, but work in Plainview, so I'd go pretty much anywhere.
