Feeling faint/lightheaded/dizzy
So, there's been a few times this pregnancy where I've been out somewhere (store, restaurant etc) and have started feeling like I'm going to pass out. I haven't actually passed out but I am getting the feeling like I"m going to.
I'm 12 weeks now and this is my second pg, never had this happen with my first one. I do have an appointment with the OB tomorrow and plan to bring it up, was just wondering if anyone else had experienced something similar?

I had this... I drank water but really I just needed to sit still for awhile.
It was off and on throughout for me.. worse in the start than later on but it still came and went all along.

YES! I have had it a lot throughout my pregnancy. I try to sit down. I also drink tons of water, so who knows. I also need to eat something small every 2 hours!

Re: Feeling faint/lightheaded/dizzy
I didn't have it much with my first pregnancy but I have had it a LOT with this pregnancy. Doctor told me to sit down if I was standing, lay down if possible and just to take it easy.

drink water and sit down, also it can be from being in a hot place.

Re: Feeling faint/lightheaded/dizzy
I've been getting like this also with my current PG.
twice I blacked out for a few seconds.
Like the other ladies suggested, drink lots of water, and when you feel it coming on, sit down and relax for a few miniutes.

Could be that your BP is low too. They say that in early pregnancy your BP drops so if yours was on the lower side to begin with it could definitely drop enough to make you feel this way.
Bring it up to the Dr to be sure!

Re: Feeling faint/lightheaded/dizzy
I totally agree with all the pp. I had this with my first pregnancy, and am having it again with my second now. I have very low blood pressure.
I learned with my first to drink ridiculous amounts of water - it made a huge difference. It also helps to sit down and put your head down if you can when you get that feeling. Try not to over do it.
Just wanted to mention - take it seriously.... I had a stomach virus at around 9 weeks, and it didn't take much for me to end up passing out. I ended up hitting my head on teh bathroom floor, going to the ER, etc, etc. ugh! be careful.
