Feeling Faintish at times or shortness of breath

Does anybody else at times feel like they are going to pass out. I feel like I can't breath or have shortness of breath my heart is pounding and I feel faintish at times. I am 21 weeks and this started a couple of weeks ago.

Is anybody feeling like this at times. I have to take deep breaths and lay my head down at work until it passesChat Icon

I get that everyday and it's really bad in the morning. For me it's what is called reactive hypoglycemia. I get it a little while after I eat and it lasts sometimes an hour. You should mention it to your doctor. I had it with my first as well, and it went away after the pregnancy. I notice it's much worse if I eat carbs or sugar in the morning and OJ makes it especially bad. Mine started about the same time as yours, around 20 weeks or so.

Wow thanks I will talk to my doctor about it. It usually lasts for about 10 minutes but it feels horrible I try to take deep breaths to relax but I see it just has to take its course and subside on ts own.

Thanks I am glad I am not the only one I was getting really worried.Chat Icon

I get this too in the am after i eat if i eat something sweet for breakfast. It's an awful feeling. I feel like i am going to pass out.

I make sure i have protein in the am, it keeps it awayChat Icon Chat Icon

Ditto. I would get this before PG, I have a very low tolerance for sugar. Eating proteins with any carbs usually helps. Definitely mention it to your Dr & always drink plenty of water.

I had this when i was like at 10 weeks before. It is not a good feeling. I do get the heart pounding fast thing sometimes after I eat though.

I dont have the faintishness, but I do have the shortness of breath if am doing too much to quick or run up and down the stairs. I am only 16 weeks and it is crazy when it happens I have to sit down for like 5 minutes to catch my breath and feel normal again.
