Feeling Numb (Upper Belly)
Any one else experiencing this? I hate when ppl touch my upper belly it feels so numb and tingly. My Dr. said its normal, just wondering if anyone else is feeling this. I am 34 weeks.

The area around my belly button has been numbe since about week 16 or 17. I'm almost 38 weeks now and it's still numb... Dr said its totally normal, probably just the baby pressing on a nerve and that it will go away once the baby is born. Ya knw how hard it is to scratch an itchy belly when it's totally numb?!

My daughter has been complaining of this too. It's right under her breasts, It feels like the skin is sore & tingly. Guess it's all part of the process!! I keep telling her she's going to feel alot things she's never felt before, but you never know what's "normal" and what's not.

omg i have the same thing! i have had it for a while and it hasn't gotten any better - i'm almost 27 weeks.
i asked an OBGYN friend of the family and he said it's from the baby and the pressure from inside constantly pressing out in that area that after a while, it gets numb and tingly.

yes i'm experiencing this have been since about 35 weeks. i also get a burning sensation like someone is lighting a match right under my skin. my dr said its from the skin stretching. i've tried icing it for relief but that only makes it worse. let me know if u have any tips.

i get this also! i feel numb and tingly. it kinda freaks me out! DH always wants to rub my belly and it bothers me, lol. heard this is normal
