Feeling off after eating carbs?
I'm 16 weeks and I've felt weird for the past week if I eat rice or potatoes or something similar. I don't get sick, it's just kind of a weird almost nauseous feeling. I was eating mainly carbs the 1st trimester due to all day sickness, but have since been limiting them.
This happen to anyone else?
I've been avoiding grains as much as possible now and sticking with fruits and veggies. No desire for sugar. I've REALLY been craving protein, but I'm a pescatarian and still turned off by fish so my choices are limited. Been eating eggs, beans, nuts, shrimp (once a week), cheese. I feel like the weird carb feeling is worse if I haven't gotten enough protein that day.

Re: Feeling off after eating carbs?
This has been me since about the start of second trimester and still happening at 38 weeks. I've noticed if I start the day with protein ((eggs mainly)) I feel better throughout the day even if I have more carbs later on. I had failed my 1 hour so just assumed I had GD, but passed my 3 hr just fine, so I'm not sure the cause for it.

Thank you! This actually helped tremendously! Started my day off with a Quest bar and I don't have that "off" feeling yet.
