Feeling so much more relaxed lately...

DD's sleeping is back to normal (we had a rough week as I was returning to work), and she's falling asleep completely on her own now - no endless rocking, no shushing, no real crying - and is also getting to be so much more fun - both of which also are easier on DH so he's more involved too. I'm just soooo glad to be out of the newborn phase. I feel like we turned a huge corner at 4 months and just turned another as she's about to turn 6 months and wow, what a difference in her and in me and in DH too. I actually feel like I can enjoy her a bit instead of just feeling helpless and frustrated. Anyway, I feel like I come on here a lot to vent and complain (and even when I don't, I share in the venting and complaining by nodding and giving hugs to all the other mommies going through the same thing) and to get advice of course, but today, I just want to share my happiness, esp for the new moms on here - even if you're not having as much trouble adjusting as I did, it gets so much better and I can't wait to see what's next.

ITA. Around 4-5 months was where I started to feel like I "knew" my kids. Why they were crying, if they would fall asleep, etc. It only gets better. My boys are about 20 months and are such fun nowChat Icon

That makes me so happy to hear - I can't wait. I didn't post about it much, but I had a hard time adjusting to being a mom so now that I seem to have adjusted and DD's doing so well, it's just nice to feel this way for a change.
