Feeling very bummed out

I was doing really well with my running. I was consistently running 3 miles 3-4 days a week first thing in the morning before DD woke up. I had a great routine. Wake up at 6. Run. Come home and do pilates. Shower. DD wakes up sometimes once I come home. Play wiht her. Get dressed. Head out for work.

But now she is waking up at 5:30. I jsut can't stomach waking up at 4:45 to run- and then working an entire day after that.

DH comes home from work at 8 and i am usually in PJs and exhausted by then. He will wake up at 7 once or twice a week so I can run,
but I don't like to wake him up early too often because he drives 45 minutes- an hour to work and works a very physical job with powertools. I want him to be awake and alert.

so now I am running maybe 2-3 days a week and I feel awful about it.

Don't be so hard on yourself, you'll get back to it once DD starts sleeping in again. 3 days/week is awesome! I find I go through phases of exercising more and less based on DS's schedule - I think the fact that you're still running at all is awesome! Keep up the good work!

I know how you feel, you get into a regimine and it stinks to have to change it. What about on the days you just can't get out there you walk to work or walk home? I know it's hard with your schedule, but every little bit helps.

Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon 3 days is still good!

I know how you feel about waking up DH. Mine does physical labor AND drives all day, so am workouts are a definate no no for me.

Did you try putting Jordana down later? Maybe her schedule is changing.
