Feels so good to get rid of stuff!
I've been selling stuff on ebay & I found a great consignment shop to bring good clothes, books & knick knacks. So far the consignment shop sells between $25-$50 worth of stuff for me a week and I have only given her a very small amount of stuff so far.
Its very close to my Grandma's house so I make it part of my weekly trip when I bring Granny her groceries.
So far I made more than enough money selling stuff to cover the money I've spent on the stuff I need to make the dollhouses I'm donating.
I still use freecycle to give stuff away but lately I was getting a lot of no shows & I was getting irritated.
I'm on vacation the beginning of August & my goal is to clean out the last packrat corner of my basement & purge all of my holiday decorations again.
I usually have one yard sale in the summer but I don't have any big items to sell & its a lot of work. I'm enjoying the consignment shop much more!
I know lots of LIFers are looking for extra money ideas, I just thought I'd share

yes, the shop owner keeps part & I get part of the money. So far I've been quite happy with how much I've gotten. I think its more than it would have been if I sold it a garage sale.
