Feta cheese?
I just ate dinner, we had greek and I had some spinach pie. I wasn't even thinking and it has feta in it. It is baked so I am hoping it is OK. The majority of the feta I see in the stores says pasturized on the label. Should I be freaking out? TIA!

The spinach pie is baked so I think you are ok. If they used unpastuerized cheese, the heat from the oven would kill any bacteria in the cheese.
I even found the recipe for Greek spinach pie in a pregnancy cookbook. It would not be there if it was not safe.

feta cheese is a okay..all us cheeses have to be pastuerized..it's rare you would find unpastuerized cheese here, plus it was cooked.

it should be fine from the oven. i went to a really traditional greek place while on vacation in september and even they told me their cheese was pasteurized, which surprised me!
