Fever-all suppositories
Yay or nay?
RJ has had high fevers all day today- they dont seem to be bothering him too much, but its making me a little nervous that they arent breaking- anyone know anything about these?

Re: Fever-all suppositories
I have them but haven't needed to use them. I think they are "suppose" to be used when dc can't keep anything down. Try it; it can't hurt. Just make sure they are in the refrig for a little while before you try to use them.

Re: Fever-all suppositories
Is it only up to 101-102? That's really not that high, honestly. Especially if he's acting normal. If it were up in the 105/106 range, yes then I would be trying other things. We've hit 105 and I did the motrin and tylenol alternating along with the baths, fluids and such.

They're just tylenol, nothing special.

yay, they work great and bring the fever down right away.
I loved them when my son was younger and had such high fevers.

Re: Fever-all suppositories
My friend uses them on her kids any time they have a fever over 101. Her BIL, who is a pediatrician, told her to use them.

Re: Fever-all suppositories
that great that his fever is breaking. My SIL uses the suppositories for one my neices for few years now and she will be 6 in April. She refuses to take any liquid or chewtabs tylenol. It does bring the fever right down. When we wen to the hospital 3 weeks ago DS's they gave him a tylenol suppository twice and it did work right away. I guess they didnt want to waste the infant drops on him because he could take the dosage of the suppository.
