Oh, no! that's too bad. Do you have discount department stores in your area--like Loehmann's/Sym's/ Filene's Basement/Nordstrom Rack/Century 21 types of stores?
You have to dig a little, but I can usually find a nicer dress in my price range at those types of stores.
I like the straight silhouette of the Sue Wong--so if you are going to keep looking, I'd look for something that shape.
Would you have time to order something from a bridal shop?

Thanks! There is a nordstrom rack right across the street so i'm going to go there now. We also have a loehmann's down here but it's kinda far from work and home... but maybe i'll try to get there one weekend. I was thinking of trying david's bridal or alfred angelo but wasn't sure how quick they'd be able to get a dress in, i'll have to check on that b/c I saw some online for cheaper than these dept store dresses.

Bloomie's (good selection)

Betsy Johnson (nothing)
BCBGmaxazaria store (nothing in my size)

Alfred Angelo might work. I remember they were pretty affordable. I just looked on their site & they have a lot of dresses with accent colors & you can pick your own combo, so you could do black & harvest gold or champagne.

I wish we had L&T down here. I think i'm going to go to loehmann's on my lunch hour tomorrow, even though it takes about 15 mins to get there... hopefully it'll be worth it!

David's Bridal usually takes about 2 weeks to come in. I was in there recently to get my niece's flower girl dresses and they had some cute bridesmaid dresses that were not expensive at all. Not sure if they had what you are looking for but it can't hurt to look if you aren't finding what you really in the price you are looking for.
I know you mentioned BCBG they will usually ship store to store if you found someting you liked but not in your size!

Go to Nordstrom online. They have a ton of dresses on there and are pretty accurate with the sizing tips. I ordered 6 dresses recently for a wedding I was attending and had a hard time choosing! Seriously, check it out.

I couldn't risk going all the way to loehmann's on a 1 hour lunch break. Hopefully this weekend I can find time to go to some other stores (db, alfred ang, etc), but I went to macy's yesterday on my lunch hr and tried on this dress. It's pretty plain but the back is kinda cool. Great price. I can maybe add some kind of sash?

It's not bad. I like the back. My only issue is the hem. Is it sort of bubbley?

Yea the hem is like 2" underneath where the dress falls so it makes it kinda bubbly.
