FINAL update! Update and those who have had bleeding during pregnancy please come in
I posted this on the infertility board but maybe I can get some more insight here as well; as
Hi All! I haven't posted much because I'm always scared of something going wrong and of course this week I had a huge scare. I transferred 2 5 day embryos on 3/6. They were frozen on day 3 and the dr suggested dethawing them and growing them out to day 5 and I agreed. I found out on 3/17 that I was pregnant. I started spotting 7 days post transfer and continues to spot on and off until almost 8 weeks. However, there was one little baby in there that was doing fine. All my sonos (and there were a lot of those) were fine. There was an area where it ooked like the other embryo was trying to implant but wasn't progressing. Fast forward to this Monday where I started gushing out blood and clots. I thought it was over but I had no cramping. Went to the ER and they were terrible. After 6 hours we left and went to my dr the next morning and sono showed baby was doing fine. Tuesday night I had the same episode but this time lost more blood and was feeling very faint so we went back to the ER. Staff was much better and sono showed baby fine but they monitored my blood count bc it started to drop. Yesterday the blood slowed down a bit. Today I went for my NT scan and the baby is measuring great but there's still quite a bit of blood in my cervix which is concerning. They don't know why I'm bleeding but told me to stay positive. I really need your help ladies. Please pray for me and my little baby! And if anyone has gone through anything like this please share your stories. I could really use some encouragement and prayers!
Edited to add pic in album from an earlier scan. That's why I'm thinking its a vanishing twin...

Final update - came to the hospital with fever and chills on Saturday, Turned out to be some blood infection, I lost my baby yesterday on Mother's Day...

Sounds like a subchorionic hematoma. Has no one mentioned that? They can be seen via ultrasound. I had a massive one when I was pregnant with my now 4 y/o DD (also IVF). In my case, the bleeding lasted around 8 weeks, off and on. The first bleeding episode was absolutely terrifying. It seriously looked like a scene from a horror movie in my house.
The body generally absorbs it and it resolves itself. My doctor instructed me to lie flat during active bleeding, so that's what I did whenever it happened.
I know how scary it can be. Sending positive thoughts your way

Same here!
My first cycle I transferred two embryos. Only one stuck that I know of (they monitored me too late IMO). I had consistent bleeding for weeks. One night I went to the ER with a massive bleed, my bathroom looked like a crime scene. Very scary. My baby survived all that and I never got an answer what it was.

The sub chorionic hematoma that they do see is only about 1 cm big. They didn't say that's what it could be. I've been pretty much in bed or the couch since Tuesday. They said they're not sure why I'm bleeding. So scared...

I'm so sorry you're going through this. With DS1, I had an unexplained bleeding episode at 11 weeks. It turned to spotting by the end of the day and that was the only episode I had.
With this pregnancy, I felt a gush of blood at 7 weeks and continued to bleed on and off that day. I had my first appointment already scheduled for the following day and they squeezed me in for a sono. I had a moderate sized subchorionic hematoma right above my cervix. I spotted for the next few days and had a follow up sono a week later. Over the next several weeks, I had 1 or 2 more spotting episodes that lasted a few days. By my 12 week sono, my body had absorbed the clot.
I hope everything is okay and the bleeding stops.

so sorry you are going through this! it is sooo scary. I am 9w6d and had some very light brown spotting on and off for a few weeks in the very beginning. it has finally stopped in the last 2 weeks. I had a subchorionic hematoma they said. it looks like it is gone now, thankfully. I am glad they are monitoring you. maybe you had more than one baby implant and then lost those? sounds like one baby is holding on strong, and I hope he/she continues to. sending you hugs!

Hi hun!!! First off congrats! I'm so happy for you!! It sounds like a Subchorionic hematoma. I had that with this pregnany from about 11 weeks till 20 weeks. It should resolve itself by the second trimester! Hang in there I know it very scary. I will say prayers for you!

So many prayers! I had bleeding episodes with both of my healthy pregnancies (ironically zero bleeding with my loss) and with my second DS it happened on and off until I gave birth. There were times where the blood was bright red and I was sure I was miscarrying but he wound up being totally fine. I know it is easier said than done but try to remain positive! I hope everything turns out okay!!

I spotted from before BFP to about 13 weeks with a scary clottly gush around 8 weeks ,the dr was not able to see anything on the sono and all was well , he thought maybe my cervix was irritated , are you on any suppository?
