Finally felt movement, but it scared me a little!
Last night I woke up at 2:30am feeling the weirdest gas bubble like sensations in my lower belly. Almost like rolling bubbles. I felt it three times, and then it stopped.
I've been waiting to feel this baby move for so long, but to be honest, it kind of freaked me out a little. It was like there was a little alien in my belly. Did anyone else get a little scared/weirded out by the first "flutters"

Finally felt movement, but it scared me a little!
I'm 27 weeks and it still takes me by surprise when my little one moves! Just wait until yours starts really kicking and you can see the movement on the outside of your belly! I wouldn't say its a scary feeling, but it is definitely a strange feeling! Even though it makes me jump sometimes when it comes out of nowhere, I still love it!

It is strange. Especially when the kicks and movements get stronger! Sometimes it takes me by surprise and I jump! When she's really active it really feels like an alien in there.

It definitely takes some getting used to…Just wait until it starts giving you karate kid kicks and you can see your stomach move.

Aww...it is a bit strange at first, but then it gets comforting knowing that your little one is moving around.

I still get freaked out sometimes! I love feeling the baby move but sometimes he surprises me with a big kick and catches me off guard!

I can't wait till the big kicks come - just so DH can feel. I think he's going to feel very left out until that happens!

it's definitely super-weird ... i still haven't wrapped my head around the fact that there's a separate living being with his own brain, will, desires, etc living inside of me ... it's so strange to me to know that i can't fully control my own body anymore (because it's not just my body)
i used to refer to the baby as the "little alien inside my belly" but my mom said it was weird/bad to call LO that so i've stopped

LOL. It makes me think of the scene from Space Balls where the little alien breaks out of his stomach and dances.
