FINALLY ordered the crib... with a little bit of a story.
So, after all this back and forth, hemming and hawing... Deciding which crib, do we match the wood, do we get a color, blah blah blah blah blah... We decided to get this Munire crib in "rustic", a light wood color- figured the color would match enough, we like the look of it. Done.
So, we go to the place we saw it, and the freakin' crib no longer comes in the color we want!!!! 
Now we are like, what the hell are we going to do? I look around the store to see if they have the Stanley Young America crib (the one with all the colors) and they do!! And not only is it NOT $1200, or $900-- the prices we saw online, but ON SALE and then REDUCED again for Columbus Day to $639. 
So now what color... do we get red, green or the natural pine color... Back and forth again, I am driving my poor DH crazy! We fill out all the paper work and buy the crib-- tell the guy we need to go to Pottery Barn and double check bedding, then we'll call with which color we want because I STILL couldn't decide. I really wanted to get the red, but was afraid I would have difficulty with girl bedding.
We look at PBK and I found a couple of girl options so now our little alien or aliena will have a awesome, funky RED CRIB!
I am SO excited-- it's going to look so awesome. Because we are not doing much to the room-- we were not really having a lot of fun picking stuff out, but I decided I am just going to register for the boy and girl bedding we want-- then deal with it after the baby is born, etc. And now I am picking out more fun stuff.
Happy another thing is checked off the list!  Oh, and we also added a lot of stuff to our BBB registry, so that's almost done too.
this is the crib, but we are getting it in Chili Pepper-- color is not as bright as in pic. It's a very deep, saturated, rustic red.

Love the idea of Red, I love things that aren't common, so I love red for either a girl or boy, I think its going to look awesome!!
