Fire Safety Ladder
So, we got a fire safety ladder, the kind you throw out the window and climb down in case of emergency.
Where do I put it?

I have the one in the nursery under the crib, the one in Sarah's room between her crib and the wall, and the one in my room between the wall and hamper which is right under the window.

It's not that big, but I have a railroad room apartment, meaning the rooms are all in one row. So, it's my bedroom, nursery, LR, kitchen. Should I get two? One for the my room and one for the kitchen, since the kitchen and the bedrooms are so far apart? Do I need one for each room?
Don't they have to be easily accessable?
Sorry for all the questions, but I never worried about this before, but now it's one of DH's and my biggest fears

hmmm, maybe I should get more then?
I got more than one b/c I'm frequently here alone with the kids so if I needed to use it I wanted it in whatever room I could easily get both kids into myself.

It is supposed to be near the window you would use it on (dont bury it in a closet!). Check out www.homesafetycouncil.org for great home safety tips. I work for them!

Thank you so much! I'll check it out.
But that's part of my question. How do you know which room you will be using it in. Especially in a case like mine, where the rooms are all in a row.
