Fireplace without a screen, suggestions on child safety proofing it?
What can I put to block my child from getting into a fireplace? It currently has no screen and one that just sits in front of the fireplace won't work since DD can knock it over.
Any other suggestions? Preferably fireplace related but of course I would block it with anything if nothing "safe" exists, since I don't plan to use the fireplace at this point in time.

This is what we have and I thank my lucky stars that we do. My DD lost her balance one night while we were burning a fire and almost landed inside.

I guess it screws in? I was hoping something could slip in there, vs having to be screwed in but I may just have to screw a screen with doors in.
