Suggestions for Flat Screen TV
Hi Everyone! I want to get DH a 42-46" LCD TV for our 1 year anniversary/his 30th birthday/Holiday's! I've been doing some research, especially when one is on sale.
I was just wondering if anyone could give me opinions and/or advice on tv's they have/had/know about, etc. I've looked into Sony Bravia, LG's, Philips, Sharp and Toshiba, but DH and I don't have any preference at this point. Any help and advice is very much appreciated! TIA!!

My BIL has Sony and it is really good, I have the Sharp Aquos in my living room and my bedroom. Love this TV, ofcourse since LED is the new thing the prices have gone down dramatically for LCD.
To answer, I would go with Sharp and second sony.

you know we love our samsung 
when we are in the stores, i think the TVs with the best pictures are samsung and sony. sharp is very good too. i don't know of any sales (and i know it's early) but Best Buy is having a deal where any purchase over $499 is 18 months finance free - you have to use a Best Buy card, and i think you have until the end of September or October to make the purchase.
i would also get the 46". think of it as an investment! he is going to looove you

Thanks everyone! I will definitely look at Best buy. I figured I would look there, PC Richards and even maybe 6th Avenue Electronics (i think that's what it's called). I don't want to wait much longer!

We have the 46 in. Sony Bravia and are very happy with it. Just make sure you get the correct screen for the room it is going into. I know with one type, you need less light so it does not reflect too much and interfere with the viewing quality. Ask them at the store. We got ours at Jays in levittown. HTH
PS I did the same thing for my DH bday and holiday gift.

I have a Samsung ,and looooove it !! Go to 6th Ave. you will get your moneys worth ! And just so you know ,having the right HDMI cables makes a world of a difference in clarity !!

Can you do an 40" TV? Right now Samsung has there LED on sale at Best Buy for $800 off the retail price of $2,099.

we have two Sony Bravias. My dad recently got his Sony at PC Richards.
I love Sony for anything with a monitor. They really have very high quality.
Highly recommended.

SONY Bravia is the way to go. Just go to the store and compare the quality of the picture. Samsungs are also great.

thanks so much everyone! i'm going to really start looking this weekend. i wanted to surprise DH and i know he doesn't have a specific tv brand in mind, but i think i'd feel more comfortable if he went looking with me. i will definitely keep all your suggestions in mind! i've already found a few online to look into further!!
