First appt... Does dh come?
Not sure what exactly is going to go on and I don't want dh to miss work for some routine appt KWIM? Calculated from lmp, I should be 6w4d. Did you guys go alone or with dh?

I didn't have DH go with me because it was a routine exam and then blood work to be sent out. It wasn't like we were finding out anything at that appt.
The first sono, yes, he came to that appt.

nahh, I didn't think it would be anything for us to both miss work for. They just did some routine tests and stuff.
DH did come to the first sono tho at 7 and half weeks. I thought that was something we would both really enjoy and I was right. Very moving.
It's a personal thing but I don't want DH to come with me to every appt. Mainly because I want him to save his PTO since we might need it after the baby comes and I run out of maternity leave.
eta: DH will DEFINITELY be with me at the 20 week scan to find out if it's a boy or girl. He will try to make the 12 week scan (he wants to but work might now allow) but if not, I'm okay with going alone.

DH has been to every appointment with me but that's bc I go on weekends. The first apptment they did a sono to check for the sac so it is a great one for him to be. Some girls see the heartbeat this early so that would be pretty cool for your DH to see.
Also I think I missed the post but just wanted to say CONGRATS!!!! I hope you have a happy and healthy 9 months.

My husband has gone to all but one appt. and I'm 30 weeks. Call and ask your doctor if they are doing an ultrasound. If so, he won't want to miss it

My OB has me coming in this Thurs for a class then the following Thursday for blood work. Then the 11th is my first sono and exam. I would like DH to come but I'm not sure if he can get out of work since it's a mid afternoon appt. I'm pretty ok with that but I def want him at the next one!

That's what I would do. If they just do bloodwork it won't be worth taking the day off. But my 1st appt was at 8wks and we had to tell them all of our family histories, go over lots of prenatal stuff, and they did a sono where we saw the baby. So he DEF wasn't going to miss that.

DH has come to every appt. so far.. at 6 weeks, I don't know if your dr. will do a sono, but find out and if he/she does then definetly have him there..

my DH has come to all except 2 appts, but it was only because his schedule allowed it, I wouldn't have wanted him to miss work if he couldn't. The first one he definitely was there and I was glad because my OB spent about an hour just talking about the pregnancy, what to expect and answering any questions, so it was good to have a second set of ears there.

We had our first appointment at 8 weeks and DH came -- we saw/heard the heartbeat and they did an annual and blood work (Dh stayed up by my shoulders, lol).

Dh only came to my last RE appt (I had sonograms at weeks 5 and 7).
BUT..he is coming to my first OB appointment on 10/3 (omg i cant wait!). I am not sure if they're doing a sono, but either way he is coming to check out the new OB and ask her a ton of questions.

DH has come to every single appt. He likes to know what the Dr is telling me and what is going on with the baby. We're able to do that though cause my Dr has really early appts and my DH can go into work a little later without issue. Like the girls said, I would call and find out what they plan on doing and go from there! Enjoy your appt!

My DH came with me to my first appointment. The doctor only wanted to see me 7 weeks after the first day of my last period. So when I went to the doctor I was 7weeks and 5 days. They did an internal sono and we got to listen to the baby's heartbeat so I was glad he was able to be with me for that!

with my dd my husband was able to come to every appt with me. With this baby he just started a new job and is on probation so Ive been going solo to my appts If your dh can make it BRING HIM

Mine did for all my pregnancies. I've had two m/c at 8.5 weeks, so I'm most nervous in the beginning and wanted him there. With DD, once we passed the first trimester, he only came to the "big" appointments, like the 20 week ultrasound.

My DH came to the first two appts with me. First was with the RE and the 2nd was with the OB.
Since then he has only come to my amnio appt and my 20 week scan.
I figured there was no need for us both to try to figure out a schedule where we wouldnt miss too much work unless it was one fo the major appts.
He is fine with that and knows he can come ot any of them but I dont need him there.

Dh came to my first appointment which was at 8w. They did the heatbeat, pap and check up. Dh was by my head
Then he came for the Amnio and will be coming with me Thursday for my 21 anatomy scan (sono)
My monthly appointments in between my mom came to.

DH didn't come to my first appt but that was only because I knew there wouldn't be a sono. He came to the next appt for the sono and I'm so glad he did!

DH is coming w/me. My dr said it would be a good one for him to go to since it's our first and they will go over everything we will need to know and answer all of our questions. They will also do the first sono and heart beat which he does not want to miss.

Same here. With everything we've gone through I'm glad he has been at every appointment and he even likes coming when there are no sonograms. I think he likes to feel involved. Thankfully he doesn't have any issue with going in late to work every once in awhile.
I think as long as your DH's schedule allows for it he should go, even if nothing exciting happens you have someone to keep you company in the waiting room!
