First bday party - how many ppl does a 6 foot hero feed?
I'm doing heros a salads for DS' first birthday in 2 weeks. I have to order for about 45 people. How many heroes should I get and how big? Anyone know how many people a 6 foot hero feeds?
ETA: I'm also making 2 trays of baked ziti

DS's baptism is on Sunday and the place we are ordering from said 6 feet feeds 20-24 ppl. I feel like it should feed more than that though.

If you are having a bunch of salad and chips/dip along with the hero you can roughly figure 4 people per foot.

For the 4th we did a 6 foot hero and a 3 foot hero - only a couple of sandwiches were left over. We had about 40 adults plus 4 trays of hot food and salads.
For DS 1st birthday we had 60 people and did 2 6 foot heros plus 4 trays of hot food and salds and had nothing left.
My deli said one 6 foot hero feeds about 18-20 people.

Rather than cutting each foot into 4 pieces I have them cut each foot into 5 pieces so each 6 ft. would get you 30 slices. It makes it easier and less messy for people to eat IMO.

I had a 6 ft hero at my last party and there were about 20 people. Half of it was left over, but we had lots of salads and other foods.
