First Birthday Party Location
Hello Everyone, My dd is turning one in July and I am looking for a first birthday party location. Preferably outdoors but it doesn't have to be, also willing to look into a restaurant, if they have an outdoor space that would be ideal. 60-70 adults and 10 children (8 and under). We're looking for something in Suffolk county and it must be reasonably priced. Would also love to have a place that would allow a company that does pony rides for the kids. Thanks for the help!!

First Birthday Party Location
heritage center in mt sinai, you can rent it out for $400 and bring in your own food plus the kids can play on the playground! We were going to do this but a lot of work to bring in everything, we are just doing it at home.
eta: I did a TON of research and no restaurant is reasonably priced, we booked a place but then got our deposit back because after tax and gratuity it adds up to way too much.

Re: First Birthday Party Location
Where in Suffolk? Smith Point does parties/catering at the Beach hut. Also, Ladakins has a covered porch area (which is nice in case of rain). They don't have a place for kids to play BUT, there is a school across the street (well Montauk Hwy) with a playground. There is a light/pedestrian walk way. We did DD's christening party there (and my shower was there) and i find their prices to be reasonable.

Re: First Birthday Party Location
We had dd at a sushi/Chinese buffet. Everyone came, loved it, it was quick and easy. We did lunch. 60 people, brought n our own wine, some characters coloring books, crayons, music and nice goodie bags. Total was about 500 included everything!! Doing it again this year.

Re: First Birthday Party Location
I had my twins' first birthday at Hoyt Farm in Commack. It has a great playground, sprinkler park, plenty of open space and animals. The permit was only $75 too.

I work there and I can tell you, unfortunately, no ponies or petting animals of any kind are allowed. Sorry! But it is a great place to have a party and the park is wonderful!
