First day back to work
Just dropped DS off at daycare for the first time.
I was okay until I saw DH welling up. But I was able to keep it a notch under hysterical.
DS was perfectly happy and smiling when we left and they just called to tell me he had his first bottle and is doing fine.
This is like some special form of torture for mommies. 
Please reassure me that this gets better.

no advice right now, just hugs. I will going back next month and dreading leaving DS with anyone else but me or DH
at least shes doing good in the day care

I'm sure it will get better. DD isn't in daycare, but this is my 3rd week back to work. I had to come back when she was 12 weeks, it was heartbreaking  But it does get better, although I find Monday mornings really hard still, because I'm home with her Fridays-Sundays
It will get better! Call them as much as you want, for reassurance

It gets better! It then gets tough again when they change rooms/teachers - but that's temporary. Overall focus on your baby being exposed to new environments, the socialization w/other children, etc. They learn so much at "school"!! It is WAAAAAY harder on us and so many of us have been there...you are NOT alone

Beleive me I know how you feel, I just went back 2 weeks ago, and it feels like someone is ipping your heart out. It does get better.

I've posted this before but in case you need it, here are
My Top Ten Reasons to love daycare:
1- They get your kid on a schedule
2 - They potty train for you
3 - They are full of advice on how to deal with "I do it myself" tantrums.
4 - Your kid will learn to share better if he's around other kids
5 - Your kid will get every germ to mankind and become super immune for elementary school.
6 - Your kid will get you sick & give you super immunity to germs as well.
7 - You will get a ton of crafts home from your child...paintings made from handprints, etc. which will melt your heart like never before.
8 - Your baby will get used to other people & will have less stranger anxiety
9 - Opens up tons of new babysitting options by snagging teachers' phone numbers
10- You have no choice
It will get better. For me, now bad days are interspersed between many good days.

I was never a daycare mom, but it was really hard going back to work even with family watching DD. It gets better for sure!! It's so nice to have some "you" time, IMO.
I'm glad he's doing well and I hope you'll be doing just as well very soon!

Read my posts on this topic on this board from last month. I can tell you that it was a slow process for me and DH but it is definitely getting a little easier. The last 2 weeks I did not even cry every time I left him!

I give all you working moms credit
when DD#2 was born I was supposed to go back to work in 6 weeks but couldnt then they held my job and I would go back at 3 months
but I just couldnt I eventually went back for about a month when DD was 10months but I just couldnt get my head in the game so I quit and now I am sahm
so I feel your pain I hope it gets easier with time
