First Lady Michelle Obama takes the latest cover of People
On asking the White House staff not to do too much: “People want to make your life easy, and when you have small kids – I’ve explained this to the staff – they don’t need their lives to be easy. They’re kids.”
On spending quality time as a family: “We have dinner as a family together every night, and Barack, when he’s not travelling, tucks the girls in. We haven’t had that time together for [years], so that explains a lot why we all feel so good in this space… [But] I don’t want anybody to think it’s that easy. It works because we really work at it. … We have a strong marriage, but it’s not perfect.”
On naming the First Dog: “Oh, the names are really bad. (laughs) You listen and you go – like, I think, Frank was one of them. Frank! Moose was another one of them. Moose. I said, well, what if the dog isn’t a moose? Moose. I’m like, no, come on, let’s work with the names a little bit.”
Michelle is wearing a $395 pink lace “Kimono” Tracy Reese dress.

I will get flamed for this, but I dont like the pic.
First off.. she is a beautiful woman... This pic doesn't show it. She has a weird facial expression in it.
And the dress? It looks like it should be worn for the cover of Cosmo, not People mag celebrating our First Lady.
I wish she would have wore something a bit more conservative.. not TOO conservative like old farty, but just a bit toned down.
I would totally wear the dress myself, but as a First Lady... I dont think that this is the right choice.

I disagree - I like the photo and what she's wearing. It suits her and I think she'd pick it out herself. She's not super conservative - when you see her "being herself" she's not in suits, etc.
However, I think the whole article itself might be slightly inappropriate. Do we want to think of the president and his wife as celebrities?  I'm not sure how I feel about it just yet.

I agree.. Shes not super conservative which is refreshing to see, however, I would have liked to see her in something else.

 They have been the in the White House for about 15 minutes, I think this article should have been done later on in the year. How much could she possible describe her life in the White House at this point?

I don't see anything wrong w/the pic or what the article is about. They are a pretty young first couple and having young kids, adjusting to life in the white house, would seem interesting to read.

I don't know but for some reason this woman does not a thing for me. I must admit though that I do like the dress on her and think she is incredibly fit but IMO I do not find her attractive at all.

I agree-It's just People magazine, it isn't a formal event, and it's not reavealing or anything--and it's a great color on her!
I also think the president & 1st lady as celebrities is a little stange.

I am sorry, I know this is not about looks and and she is a highly intelligent-educated woman and this and that...... but I think she looks like a man dressed as a woman in this pic.
