First night in the crib - accomplished!
So, it was DEFINITELY way harder for DH and I to put her in the crib that it was for her She went down about 9:30 and woke because she had some bad gas (see other post ) so I went in, rocked her back to sleep and out she went... til 1am, woke up for a feed and then slept til 5 am. Then back down and then up at 8:30!
When we went to bed, I cried. It was SO HARD! I hated her not being so close. DH kept saying he was going to go get her and bring her in with us. He was so cute... saying, "we don't have to do this today... we can start next week." I assured him that whether or not it was now or then, it would still be hard.
But we did it... and we all survived and she actually slept MUCH better!

AWWW - great job!!!
You are a better mom than me....when I put him in his crib I was just so excited to be able to make the TV louder since he wasn't sleeping!

Trust me, soon you will ALL sleep better. It was hard for me at first too, but I loved getting my room back. It will get easier.

Good job!! I'm the only one who didn't like having my child in my room...she also never liked the cradle, she was in her crib by 2 weeks! It was heaven!!

Re: First night in the crib - accomplished!
Yay! We did this transition last week, and it was definitely harder on me than DD! But it makes me sooo much more comfy that our door is right across from hers, I can just stare at her doorway

Same with us... I'm about 20 feet away from her crib... but it's still too far!!

Re: First night in the crib - accomplished!
Congrats, I actually just did this with my DS this past week. The first couple of days were hard to get him and us used to but now it is getting better.

Re: First night in the crib - accomplished!
The transition is definitely harder for us then them, if you do it early enough. I hated looking over at his empty bassinet, but he did much better in his crib.
