First OB Appt. Today - UPDATED with photo and info! (parents reveal info on page 2)
so i'm TRYING to stay relaxed...but i haven't seen a doc in 2 weeks (with the RE - i got very used to seeing the baby every week)...
As long as everything goes well with the Dr....right after, we'll be heading to Dave's parents' house to 'tell them'. It's a week earlier than we wanted to, but Dave's dad is having major foot surgery tomorrow, so we wanted him to know early...(the God forbid factor)...
I'll log in as soon as I get home late tonight....
I'm nervous!!!!! I'm not a small girl to begin with and i'm so afraid of getting a lecture about my weight.. I KNOW if my doc is half the person i THINK she is - it'll be fine...but i can't help but be nervous...
I was told NOT to expect an u/s because the RE was doing them, but i have had two small instances of spotting...so i'm hoping that will change that...
okay, now i'm rambling...

UPDATE: The appointment was incredible! We were with the doctor for an hour and 30 minutes and then got to have an ultrasound and our baby LOOKS LIKE A BABY now!!!!!!! We got to see the 'mosh pit' that is my belly now (dave's term)!!! The baby barely stayed still long enough for the u/s tech to give us SIX photos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We were able to see the fingers, toes, spine, oh my GOODNESS!!!!!
Got all my 'instructions'....our next appointment is for an ultrasound and bloodwork is on December 2nd....
This is our favorite pic - you can see the eyes, nose and mouth!!!!!!!!!!!

Try to relax...the only difference is that the appointments are now only about 5min from start to finish....Have fun telling Dave's parents

Good luck Jess! The first appointment is a long one. Lots of questions, lots of blood drawn, urine, weight. My doctor went over how things work in the practice. We were there for about 90 minutes. After this appointment, the rest will be 5 minute appointments.

Good luck!
At my OB, they did a sono at the first visit, even though I'd had my last appointment with a sono at the RE that same day! My dr. likes to do their own sonos.
