First run since the 1/2 marathon
... and I feel like a beginner!! My legs were just not working as good as the usually do. I think maybe I was pushing myself too hard. I'm going to stretch and wait to go again on Friday.
How is everyone else feeling?

I agree- I don't know why I feel compelled to push myself so soon after the race.

Re: First run since the 1/2 marathon
I tried to run yesterday for the first time and my hip started to feel a little uncomfortable so I walked/ran 2 miles. I am going to take it easy this week.

Re: First run since the 1/2 marathon
I give you all credit for starting so soon. A book i had said that you should not run for 3 days at the very least after a long run.
I am going to go tomorrow for a short one.

Re: First run since the 1/2 marathon
I did Pilates and weight lifting last night and felt soooooooo weak. Esp my legs (ofcourse)
I am going for a speed work out tonight, if the rain lets up....hope I can do it. We'll see. I like to keep my mileage up so I dont have to retrain for the next race.

Re: First run since the 1/2 marathon
I have not run since. I soooooooooo needed a mental break and for some reason my foot has been hurting the last couple of days.
I need to figure out what sort of training I am going to be doing next.

Re: First run since the 1/2 marathon
today was my first day back - I totally needed the mental break!
and of course it was a 5K race...LOL...I had planned to do a few 3 milers this week, but I just couldn't get through a mental block
So I was thinking of all of you when I started the race and was a bit wobbly...LOL

Re: First run since the 1/2 marathon
this is probably TMI- but I think my toes may have been squished from the long run- bc 3 of them are all bruised underneath! 2 on one foot and 1 on the other. Just in time for pedicure season
