First Sono at 10 weeks?
I just made my appointment with Dr Lochner through Stonybrook Obgyn! Thanks to all the recommendations. I was shocked to hear they do their first sono at 10 weeks. Anyone else? Should I try to get one sooner?

I think that is pretty standard, mine was at 9 weeks.

I think anywhere between 8 and 10 is the norm.

Re: First Sono at 10 weeks?
i had mine at 8.5 but they didnt want to do a sono that day, they wanted to wait til my 12 week...but i found that ridiculous, and played up the fact that i had pneumonia during the first month of pregnancy, and abit of spotting, and that it worried me so they did the sono at that 8.5 week appt

Re: First Sono at 10 weeks?
Dr. Lochner is my dr. she is awesome. They told me 8-10 weeks for my first sono. I was 8 weeks when I made my appt.
You will love her. She is also pregnant with #2. She is due January 31st. so since your early..she will be back just in time. I am due in May and she said she would definitely back to deliver my baby.

Re: First Sono at 10 weeks?
When I made my first appointment at that office when I got PG, they told me to come in between 6-8 weeks. I wound up having to go back to my old OB due to problems early on. 10 weeks seems late to do first sono. You have to do your NT scan at 12 weeks, so I figured they would space it out a little. Usually they do it around 8 weeks.
I'm now switching to them at 24 weeks. I really wanted to give birth at Stony Brook.
