First time giivng peanut product, what kind of reactions if allergic?
Today was my first time giving DD a peanut cookie. She has no known allergies to date.
What kind of reactions should I watch out for and how long is the time frame they might happen? I am so sick of wondering about a peanut allergy, I have to get this over with.

My son had a few hives on his chin immediately after eating pb. Friends of mine who have children with a peanut allergy had the same reaction (immediate hives).
There is one person I know of whos daughter did not react until the second exposure which is the scary thing about peanuts...the first time can be nothing, and consecutive exposures can be bad.
With that being said..if there is no immediate reaction USUALLY that means they will be fine...

Thank you. So I would assume a peanut cookie with peanut butter (nutter butter) would cause a reaction if allergic as well? So generally is it the first time and immediate? I have been dreading this forever, it's so ridiculous since it's just peanut butter but my ped didn't want us to have it until around 2. So I waited and have been worried all this time.

DS's lips started to swell up about 5 or 10 minutes after and then he vomited 15-20 minutes later. I will say - I gave him a piece of peanut butter cookie when he was around 10 months old, and there was no reaction. Then I gave a tiny bit of straight peanut butter about 2 months ago and he had the reaction I wrote above.

That must have been very scary. 
Ok so no reaction with the nutter butter, but based on what you said, I just gave a small glob of straight PB just in case the cookie wasnt enough.
