First time Looking this weekend
We did our first go round with the RE agent this weekend.
What an experience! I felt a little weird being in other peoples homes! We saw 3 condo's none were 'right' for us.
We are going to continue looking but we are not in any special rush right now.
I am just so happy to start looking!

Congrats.....I felt weird the first time out and I liked looking at houses when the owners weren't home...when they aren't there I feel like I can be free to say how much the house sucked..

it is def weird being in other peoples houses but then its also weird looking at empty houses too

oooh... what condos did you look into?!?! the first couple of places we looked at had the owner right inside the house... it felt sooooooo weird... like i couldnt say what i really felt and i felt so bad for this 1 older woman... she really needed to sell and was trying to sell us on her place HARDCORE... i hope she was able to get rid of it!

I grew up in a three-family house in Queens, so what really struck me while house hunting on Long Island was that people who live in big ol' houses in really nice areas really don't live any better. I was shocked by how dated, cluttered and dirty some of these homes were! I suddenly had a brand new appreciation for my childhood home.

I always feel this way 
We looked at a lot of homes before we bought...and now I am going with my brother and SIL to look and BOY I am always shocked and I always tell my mom what a nice home she always kept eventhough she was always screaming "this place is a wreck".

Congrats! It's so exciting! I do agree, I prefer when the owner isn't home because you can speak your mind a lot more and not give them any false hope that you are buying their house.

We are looking from William Floyd parkway west... to suffolk boarder. We have no specific area.
Thanks for all the well wishes!! It really isn't fun to have the Homeowner standing right there!
