First Timer starting IVF injections this week!!
Hi all! First time doing IVF and I'm about to start the process. Any advice for the injections? I'm so worried that I will miss something or not do something right.. I'm most likely overreacting Also, in the over 40 category... love hearing success stories

Welcome and good luck! The injections were a piece of cake. I kept a journal and I wrote down the dosage I took - at what time - and where I injected just to keep me sane.

Re: First Timer starting IVF injections this week!!
Good Luck!!
For me, what made it easy was I seperated my meds into little sandwich ziplocs for each day so I wasn't looking into that huge pile of meds every single time. Just grabbed a baggie and it had everything I needed in there for that night.
I also made a log sheet and put it on the fridge marking each day how much of each med I took and any symptoms I may have had.
All of this made me feel like I had some control.

Good Luck!!!!
I never iced or applied heat, some ladies do. I mixed my gonal and my menopur so I only had one injection instead of 2. It is a little overwhelming at first, just take a deep breath and take it day by day :D

Welcome and best of luck! I watched the videos online of how to do each shot and I had DH give the shots to me. Once you get the hang of it its not so bad. GL

First Timer starting IVF injections this week!!
My 18 month old daughter is here thanks to IVF - she was born a month after my 41st birthday!
As for the injections, don't stress it. Keep your eye on the prize and you'll be fine. It seems more intimidating than it is - after the first one, you'll be a pro.
Good luck!!!

I am finishing my first round of shots - I thought it was going to be awful and I cannot tell you the relief I felt after the first night. You will have the same moment where you say "oh, that's it? I can do this!". Definitely inquire about mixing your meds if you are taking two - it cuts out the need for two shots.
