First Veggie??
We've conquered cereal. Rice then oatmeal then barley. DD likes them all. Loves oatmeal.
I want to do a few veggies before fruit. I can't decide which to do first. Any suggestions?

I think we did the oranges (squash, sweet potatoes, etc) first.
Btw, we did fruits first and he likes veggies better.

Same here. DD loved everything equally though.

If avocado counts, then that was one - otherwise, sweet potato was a hit aound these parts!

We did sweet potatoes then squash. In a week or so we will try carrots. So far they are a huge hit!

Our ped. recommended starting with green veggies, then go to yellow/orange then to fruit. She said we should start with the least sweet, b/c if he gets the sweetest right away, he will never want green veggies, which are less sweet. She knows our concern about diabetes and this may be on account of that. DH likes her idea.

Guess all doctors are different. Ours said to try the orange veggies first, then some other veggies, then fruit. She said the sweet fruit is something they may like too quickly and never take the veggies after that.

Orange veggies first: sweet potatoes, carrots, squash
Then green beens/peas
fruits: apple, pears, bananas
Our ped said wait 4-5 days before trying a new veggie or fruit.
