fisher price kid DVD player
the kid tough one - any one have it?
recommend it?
DS is 16 months old and I figure we need it for the plan ride to fla next month.
or should we just get a regular one and pray he doesn't drop it

We just bought a portable one for our trip. I did some research and read reviews, and the kid tough one didn't get such great reviews. We went with a regular Sony because it had a longer battery life (6hrs) than a lot of others. I think Amazon had it the cheapest and free shipping.
ETA I figure I'll always be there with him when he's watching (be it in the car or on a plane) and he'll never have the opportunity to run around with it and drop it down the stairs or throw it in the fish bowl

I did some research on it also. It did get great reviews but in the end I thought the screen was too small. I went for an Audiovox Kids 6.2 DVD player for $89.99

the reviews are awful on amazon.com
We looked into it but for that price we were able to get a really nice car one that has the headrest cover.
