Fisher Price PlayDate Party?

Has anyone heard of this? One of my friends is doing it. I guess it is like a candle party or tupperware party but they give you free toys for hosting

It's through houseparty.com and they already picked the people for the party. Sadly I didn't get in! Chat Icon

Re: Fisher Price PlayDate Party?

I've been selected for a few. The Gerber one was the best. I had two 30lb boxes of baby food delivered to me!

Can you briefly explain what the host has to do? Is it time consuming?

Re: Fisher Price PlayDate Party?

You just have a party and invite your friends on the day they stipulate. They send you a box full of whatever you are having the party for. I don't always have a party, I'll just give the stuff out to my friends. It's not time consuming at all.

I got a Lipstick Jungle one a few months ago. 15 tubes of Maybelinne Limp Plump LG..I ended up loving it, I buy it all the time now!

Re: Fisher Price PlayDate Party?

Is it like a Tupperware party where you sell stuff or is it really just a house party? It sounds like fun but I don't want to have to buy all this stuff then have it sit in my house not being sold!

You don't sell anything. It's a party where you give away things.

They send you stuff for FREE and you basically throw a "party" to promote it.

For ex...the game...I got the game for free...threw a party , played the game and anyone who wanted it could get the game for 35% off.

The hersheys one was to get the new choclate "name" out there KWIM?

Re: Fisher Price PlayDate Party?

I was selected and am hosting a party. I live in Maryland. Basically I had to invite a min of 10 people and house party is mailing me all these fisher price toys to play with to promote them for holiday shopping. I get to keep the toys for hosting and my guests get coupons and I think smaller toys as well.
I'll update when the package comes. The party is Sept. 6.
Sounds really cool. I am excited!

FYI it's too late to sign up for this party. They do have other ones for various things on their site though.

Re: Fisher Price PlayDate Party?

Well, if anyone wants to do somethjing more like the traditional Tupperware party where a consultant comes to the party, there is always Discovery Toys. I've never hosted a party where things were sold but now I have gone to some that I have enjoyed, so I may do Discovery Toys or a scrapbooking one at some point. My only reservation has to do with an annoying Tupperware rep. who was so pushy at one party.
