We are lookign still, but DH cousins (who have EVERYTHING) have the Samsung 50" Plasma.
It is on sale at Bust Buy right now TV

thanks... just did my own research on Circuit City's website...
In the 32” category, the LG got the absolute highest rating from 81 customers. The Panasonic got the 2nd highest rating, they’re both around the same price - $1299 for the LG and $1349 for the Panasonic. Samsung got the 3rd highest and the Sharp Aquos is in 4th place. Hmmm… strange since they invented the technology.
In the 37” category, Samsung got the highest rating with Sony coming in a close 2nd. They’re both quite a bit more $$! Around $2,000. is 5” worth $800 more? I don’t know…

good to know, thanks. DH and I definitely want an LCD, not plasma. LG seems to have very high consumer ratings!

we have the sharp aquos LCD - I believe its 37". DH is very happy with it - it took him a long time and a lot of research to decide on a TV. Its great, I'd definitely recommend it! We got the best deal at P.C Richard.

We just bought the Panasonic 42 Plasma HDTV a few weeks ago. It is either #3 or 4 on consumer reports. The model # is TH-42PX60U.
