FLES ideas...
I teach FLES and wondered if anyone had any ideas or fun activities to better engage the students.
I teach K-5 Spanish.

That's so awesome that you are getting to teach that and that any district is still offering that given the budget cuts. We sing constantly with the middle school kids. We do a mock supermarket during the food unit. They have a shopping list and must buy the foods on the list.
I have to talk to my chair there was someone that they brought in for our staff development that was mostly FLES and she had some cute songs and such.

OHHH she's lucky!!!! I teach the entire building vs. just one grade! Thank you for her website. It's my tenure year so I'm looking for new ideas and this may help. Thanks again!

What topic? I'm assuming Personal ID right now! I taught FLES and FLEX for a number of years. Generally, I used songs to teach vocab. Some I've learned over the years or some I've just made up based upon need! There are also a ton of power point presentations for maps, geography, culture, dance Search you tube, teacher tube, etc.
For the younger ones, do you remember any of the lessons from the FLES certification class we had to take? I remember one we did with numbers for K and 1st grade.

She started the program, so she used to do it all in two schools. We are hoping she will be doing all grades in one school. The other FLES teachers are 7-12 Spanish teachers (one class they can teach outside of their certification)
