Unless you use it....yes.

I left my job in August and had about $800 left on my FSA - I went to Duane Reade and purchased anything (in stock) that was an eligible expense and kept it at home. I had two weeks to do it, and I did it. If you don't use it, you lose it.

You can go and get contracts/glasses, fill up prescriptions, etc.

Oh, and if you call the hotline they tell you that you have until the end of the year - that's a lie. You have until the end of the month of the month that you resign.

You have until your last day of employment to incur eligible expenses.

You have a month from your last day of employment to submit the actual claim.

FYI-
If you are looking for a large purchase so that you won't lose it, you can buy an air purifier and submit with a receipt and a note from your doctor and they will reimburse it. We paid $400 for ours.

Thanks ladies. I hope it isn't good until the last day of the month you resigned. I only resigned on Fri. the 28th.

I have a little over $500.00. I think I'm gonna stock up on diaper cream and medicine, hopefully the exp. dates will be far off
