totally flooding near the lake. Google the street and it may come up. But Lake Ronkonkoma is huge and some parts are no where near the lake!

I believe an area called Charles Ct floods. I have found a few articles when I googled as well, and Charles Court was the main one I found.

Re: flooding near lake ronkonkoma?

It's around the swamp on the north side of the lake. I've been watching it closely for the last year or so, since I drive past it to go to PT. It hasn't risen at all in the last several months, and has actually gone down. They are addressing some of the causes, and taking preventative measures.

Don't discount the entire town, though. It is very hilly, and many parts are fairly elevated, and 90% of the island would need to sink before these areas were under water.
