I've been to Sanibel, Marco Island and Captiva.. I LOVED Sanibel. DH's family has a share there for the entire month of January (didn't go this year).

Another vote for Sanibel...DH and I love that place, it is "our place" we vacation there a few times and were engaged on the island at sunset...beautiful!!!
We rented bikes, visted gators, and swam in the gulf, of course the fammed shell hunt on the island.
I used to live in Clearwater too and that was always fun but it has changed in years and more for the young spring breakers.
