Flu SHot VENT!
I'm so annoyed with my pediatrician's office!
I called to set up an appointment for my 3 yr old DD to get the flu shot and they tell me that they are doing flu shot clinics on Nov. 4 & 11 from 1pm-4pm. I told the receptionist that those dates/times don't work for me because I work in the city. She said those are the only two times they are doing it and since the kids have off the parents appreciate that it is done during that time. I said well my DD is 3 and not in school and I work full time, so again those don't work for me.
I asked if I could make an appointment and she said no. I said I find it extremely inconvenient that the only time I can get my 3 year old a flu shot is during a time when I have to work and that it is unfair to full time working parents. I asked to have a doctor call me back - we'll see if that happens.
I am really really annoyed!

That would completely pi$$ me off. I'm surprised they're not having a clinic on the weekend. That's what our office does.

The receptionist called me back and said she spoke to a doctor and I am able to bring her in on a Sunday at 9am. I'm glad it is resolved but I was still really annoyed about it.

Sounds like our ped office. My boys were suppose to get this past week but the shots are not in. So now we go 225 on 11/4

Glad it worked out... but I usually tell the person "I work... just like YOU are working now".

This happened to me last year at my peds office when I called. I had an appt scheduled for one of my boys (well visit) and I asked to bring the other one and was given the same answer. They called back after and said it was fine. So annoying though!
