Flying on a bankrupt airline
I have a credit on Delta that I have to use by Feb. I read somewhere that flying on a bankrupt airline is not a great idea, not sure why. I'd think it would be unwise to scrimp on maintenance but who knows.
I don't want to be out the money and I hate to fly as it is.
Thoughts? Would you do it or already have tix with one of these airlines?

Article
Article says the day to day operations will probably remain the same, but I would call and make sure.

Re: Flying on a bankrupt airline
I would have no hesitations flying on a bankrupt airlines. I practice Bankruptcy law, and I wouldn't worry. Most bankruptcies are Chap. 11 (which Delta is), which means reorganization. Its basically a chance to reorganize finances and basically not pay their creditors. They are not going to go under. If they were really desperate, they woudl lower their prices, which they don't. So many companies delcare bankruptcy, Barneys, FAO Schwartz, almost every airline, etc...
