Flying w/Infant-a few ?'s
We are flying with DD tomorrow (she is almost 3 months) and I am EBF. Does anyone know if I can bring a breast pump on the airplane? I looked on the southwest website and TSA but didn't find anything saying you could or you couldn't. Also, does anyone have any advice for traveling with a little one?

Yes, I always traveled with my breast pump. My advice is just to tell them at security that you have the breast pump. In my experience, they have not run it through the regular scanner but pulled it to the side, opened it up and wanded it.
Other advice...if you can (if DD's not sleeping) give her something to suck on for take-off and landing. When I flew with DD, I BF on the way up and she was asleep on the way down. It helps to keep the pressure in their ears equalized. A pacifier might help too.

Hi - I flew with DD a few weeks ago and carried the PIS pump with milk and food on with no problem. But they did put it through the machine.
The only advice I have is to check as much as possible. I found carrying DD and all her stuff really difficult
Enjoy your trip

I flew with my pump and had no problems - the man there that asked what it was blushed when i told him...LOL
I agree with having something ready to drink on the way up or down - even if it's water.
DS flew 3 times before he was one and I never had a problem - the problems come when they get older..
good luck!
