Flying with babies?
I should probably put this on Parenting, but I'll start here.....
Has anyone ever flown with an infant? We are thinking of going to our timeshare in Aruba in May/June and the baby will be about 6 months old. What the deal with it, do you have to buy a seat or do you hold them?
TIA!

As far as I know you do not have to buy a seat, I believe under a year they can sit on your lap. But you will have to pay the tax, which is something like 10-20$
Anything else, I can't help you with

Re: Flying with babies?
Are you renting a car in Aruba? I would bring my carseat and check it def. Hopefully no one would be sitting next to you, you can check at the gate, worse comes to worse you can check the seat at the gate or bring it on, you might be more comfy for the 4 hour flight that way.
DD at 6 months old was kinda squirmy and sometimes wanted to chill on her own.

You can always take the bus everwhere if you want to totally forego the seat too.
Have fun in Aruba!! I love that place!! Can't wait to go back again.
Where are you staying?

We have a timeshare at the Costa Linda, mid-island in the low rise section. It's great for families and has a nice pool and beach, so it's perfect for us.
Last time we didn't rent a car and spent a fortune on cabs and took the bus 1x to the supermarket. If we go in May, it will likely be my parents, my brother and SIL and their baby and DH and I with our baby. Maybe we'll get a van or SUV.....
