Wasn’t it national daughters day the other day. Who cares? I didn’t see much of it in my feed.
I only follow international cat day…
The point is that people just follow what others do without even questioning it.
Meaning overall in life.
Uh, OK. I don’t really get your point. Who cares what people do on FB? I don’t, and I’m not sure why you are so bothered by it.
Her point was pretty clear and if you still don’t like it, you can move on from this thread. What is your point of being so nasty for no reason? Who pissed in your Cheerios this morning?
Excuse me? I wasn’t nasty at all. It just seems like a lot of energy to be upset about something because someone posted something about national sons day on FB and then a long winded rant about how people can’t think for themselves based on a FB post.
Maybe you should ask yourself who peed in your cheerios this morning?
You seem to have a pattern of calling me out all the time. If you don’t like something maybe you should take your own advice and move on? Just an idea.
It wasn't that she cared that they posted for national sons day - it's that they did it on the WRONG DAY!!!
But who gives a shit? What is the point? It's not important!
Again you are missing the entire point. It is not the ONE day difference, it is that people just blindly follow others.

As YOU know, people rarely verify IMPORTANT things they post online. You think anyone cares what day National Sons Day or National Pizza Day is? And why should they? Whether it's today, tomorrow or next month, who cares? It is of zero importance - unlike other fake new people post, claiming it to be fact. Maybe put as much effort into verifying important tings as you do into worrying about people posting happy messages, even if it is on the "wrong" day
I know you don't really follow since you wouldn't be posting on those days but many people DO actually follow these things. I have a friend who does a business and she posts every.day what type of day it is. It is fun thing she does and people will respond with answers to questions she asks about that particular thing.
You need to get yourself a bowl of chips and cocktails as you sound like a party pooper
YOU'RE the one calling out people for posting on the "wrong day" - which makes you the "party pooper." I'm all for a happy post - any day of the year.
My point was, you care so much about people posting on the "wrong" day, but don't care at all about FAKE NEWS and misinformation. Priorities...
ANYTHING that people push along that is fake news and misinformation is blindly following others.
THIS was just an example and the post I sent to KK was just another funny one.

The bottom line is that posting about your son is both safe and effective and of course I did it because everybody else did it and unless we all do it then there is no point in having National Son Day. I do not understand why people are anti-sons.

The "official?" National Sons Day is March 4th. It's also celebrated on Sept. 28th.
National Son's Day is a national holiday founded by Jill Nico in 2018 and is officially celebrated on March 4th. While there’s no single reason for selecting March 4th, the founder explains spring seemed ideal, and the date resounds with momentum when spoken. Additionally, many sons enjoy spring sports, and it’s an excellent time to spend time outdoors.
https://www.nationalsonsday.com/ https://www.facebook.com/nationalsonsday/?ref=page_internal
I know. I looked it up.
So you did the research, found out the "facts" about this arbitrary, made-up "holiday" that was invented 3 years go, and decided to follow the herd, that for some reason I can't find, decides to also celebrate arbitrarily on the 28th of September just so you can pick on people who arbitrarily decided to celebrate their sons on another random day, and not the day you know is "wrong"?
Did the research, ignored the research, followed the herd....

Agreed.
The comparison they're trying to draw is absurd. It's one thing to see people posting about a made up "day" and go ahead and share a pic of your child - it's just not worth verifying.
But it's another entirely to trust medical decisions to FB memes or whatever.
There is no analogy here.

How do you not understand this? NO ONE CARES if they get a "national day" right. It's light hearted and something fun to post about. So why would anyone (other than you) Google it to see if it was the right day. IT DOESN'T MATTER - AT ALL. (Just as some mgiht post Happy Halloween or Merry Christmas or whatever BEFORE the actual holiday - oh the horror!) But YOU and many others will post things of supposed substance, supposed medical information, supposed science without researching at all for accuracy. You make fun of others for posting about a "day" without checking that it is really that day yet YOU constantly post fake news as reality without checking that it is real. How can you compare posting about a stupid "day" to posting about a supposed scientific fact that you post as being accurate? So remember, when you post some fake news, you are following the herd way more than someone who joins in a harmless, feel good, made up "day" - even if it is the "wrong day"

I proved a point, you don't want to see it. You find things to be fake news people post while it is just facts that you just don't want to face.

So, if I understand correctly, you cared enough about people posting on the "wrong" day, enough to resarch THAT and post here about it, yet don't care enough about IMPORTANT things you post, to research and make sure the information is accurate??? OK then...
I wouldn't call googling that took 2 seconds researching. I just found it funny that once ONE person sees something, they ALL follow. Read Nells post.....
So remember, when you post some fake news, you are following the herd way more than someone who joins in a harmless, feel good, made up "day" - even if it is the "wrong day"
Dear lord, don't blow a gasket. Talk about someone getting annoyed over nothing.
I proved a point, you don't want to see it. You find things to be fake news people post while it is just facts that you just don't want to face.
Think you need to chill with some chips and dip and a cocktail. Then post all the happiness on 8oclock shot
You proved a point??? Not even close. You think this post was so clever and that you would show us all what sheep we are - beyond completely ridiculous. Again, going along with a stupid day anywhere close to posting about "facts?" You have posted so many things without verifying them and you know it. To say they are "facts I just don't want to face" - you truly are laughable.

The fact that you think the post was directed at you, someone that doesn't even have a child, is really strange, no? If you did, in fact, post something for National Son's day you might have more to worry about than just being a sheep....

Funny how none of it was directed at anyone here unless you are my friend on fb and posted yesterday ;) lol
