Fondue question
I just got a new pot & I want to make just plain chocolate fondue tonight -but if you can believe this- the recipe book that came with my pot doesn't have a recipe for just plain chocolate!! It's all fancy stuff! (so weird)
But anyway... how do I make just plain chocolate fondue?

Re: Fondue question
try the website for the fondue pot you bought. They may have additional recipes.

Re: Fondue question
I've made plain chocolate before. I don't remember the exact measurements, but the ingredients are heavy cream, chocolate (can use choc chips or hersheys bar) and some vanilla extract. Its so good! Heat the cream, then stir in chocolate and vanilla.
ETA: My guesses on the measurements:
1/2c cream 8oz choc 1 tsp vanilla

Re: Fondue question
Hi Cheryl - It's Liz (Annemarie's sister-in-law). I had to jump in because fondue is my specialty
I think that the easiest way to do this is to melt 16 ounces of chocolate (any kind that you like -- I usually buy Ghiradelli or Bakers brand chocolate). Then once that melts a bit in the pot, mix in a container of heavy cream (the smallest size). You may have to play with the amount of heavy cream you use depending on how you like it. Oh, I sometimes add a little Nutella to it, as well (only about a tablespoon).
Obviously this is for a large group of people plus leftovers.
