Fondue Restaurant on Long Island?
Is there one? Where is it and what is it called (if there is one!)
I thought I remember someone talking about one before...
Thanks!

Really, I remember someone saying Melting Pot was going into the old Greenfields location in Melville. Where by Roosevelt Field?

I have been to both Toast and Sweetwater's for fondue... both are very good but IMO, Toast is more expensive but you get more and better quality at Sweetwater's. Also, the place is nicer- Sweetwater's has dancing and the bar area, etc. ETA: also, we would always find at Toast that we would have to wait to get a table (the place is very small) and sometimes, we got an attitude and they would rush us out of there- Sweetwater's is much larger so that was never a problem.
Vin and I used to go to Toast a lot- and it's nice if you are in Port Jeff (esp when the weather is nice) but we would walk out of there spending at least 80-90 bucks- but with Sweetwater's the bottles of wine were larger and less money- the stuff they gave you to dip in the chocolate was more and a wider variety, etc. So, we now go to Sweetwater's b/c it's a better buy- we did not spend as much and then (on Saturday nights) we went dancing afterwards (they have a DJ in their bar area)-- it was A LOT of fun!! I want to do it again soon with friends
HTH!!

Ive been to toast and it was SO yummy! They have both chocolate and cheese fondue. We got the cheese and it was great! We plan on going back for the chocolate.
If you are looking for a place to eat that also has fondue try Sweetwaters on Motor Parkway in Hauppauge...I think it's in hauppauge. DH and I went there for his b-day and it was great!
