You should definately go, the food is great, so are the drinks. My fav is a steak with the port wine sauce, soo yummy. We had our rehearsal dinner there too and it was excellent!

eddies is the BOMB... been going there since I was a kid. Nothing changes and it's always great. Cheapest glass of red wine within 50 miles of the city.

mama's is my fav italian place
tellers and peter lugers...well they are awesome steak houses
can't even compare the two types of food to pick one over the other

pasta pasta in port jeff...I am biased though my mom is the manager.
I also love Abel Conklins in huntington.
I would love tellers if I didn't waitress there a few years back

I have to say that I've only eaten at both places once but I was impressed with Rachel's in Freeport as well as Sweet Waters in Hauppauge.
Overall for a place we used to eat at frequently the Long Island Grill in Ronkonkoma where I grew up.
