Re: food allergie question -eggs
yep - sounds like a food allergy to me - that's how my daughter reacted to eggs and she is allergic to both eggs and milk. I wouldn't try again as the reaction could get worse with each time, I'd see about going to an allergist for skin testing and blood work for final confirmation.

I'd definitely look into an allergist to get her tested. You want to be very careful about their allergies. I am going to take Ava regarding her allergies to see what she is allergic to and how serious it is.

It sounds like a mild allergy.
I gave DD an egg yolk - Her face broke out in a red hivey rash, and lips swelled... The allergist tested her, and she has a severe egg allergy (along with a bunch of others).
I would keep childrens Benadryl in the house - just in case she has another reaction.

Could you recommend your allergist. Steven is allergic to dairy and I would like to have him tested to see what else he is allergic to! TIA

Re: food allergie question -eggs
This happened once when we gave Emily eggs but she has had them a few other times without a reaction.
She eats things that are cooked with Eggs fine.
To be honest she's not too crazy about eggs so I don't make them for her often. I figured I'd stay away from it for the most part until she's older and then see what happens.

Re: food allergie question -eggs
i do give her food that has eggs in them and she is fine. the reaction was very mild just patchyness on her chin and eyebrows. the funny thing is she kept eating it. my pediatrican said to wait two weeks and try again if we have the same reaction i will go to an allergist then.
