food for a birthday party
im throwing a 30th bday party at a VFW hall. its from 8pm-12a.m.
what kind of food would you serve at that time? im keeping it simple because most of this crowd doesnt eat when they drink..but i know they need to.

I'm assuming people would think that dinner is being served at that time. Unless you mentioned that "light appetizers will be served" or something in that order.
You can do buffet style with a few trays of hot food.
or just do appetizer style, butler style.
- puff pastry o'dourves - stuffed mushrooms - little burger sliders - chicken satay - mini eggroll - sushi - mini pizzas

I would go to BJs and get some apps there. IS there an oven you can use to prepare?
-california rolls are good -mozz sticks -mini quiche things like that.
I would just put a few trays of them out.
