Food for catered party
What kind of food do you generally order/serve? I feel like I always have the same stuff...looking for some different ideas.
ETA: this is for my son's 1st b-day

Re: Food for catered party
i'm a really picky eater so I always like to see some sort of chicken dish- and a pasta dish The last event we went to that was home catered they had chicken franchaise, salad, penna ala vodka, lasagna (I think eggplant), a couple of other things that I forget b/c I don't eat- and dinner rolls/ and butter. HTH!

Re: Food for catered party
My girlfriend had a B-day party for her son and catered it with Chinese food. It was great, everybody had something they liked.

assorted wrap platters
That's a good idea instead of the hero...hero's can be so messy and hard to eat. And people seem to love different wraps these days.

That is great idea too. My mom catered a party once with Chinese food...but do you think I can do that for a party at the hall or is that more for a home party?

Re: Food for catered party
We had a panini platter at our office recently. It was really good, with different fillings for the paninis

Re: Food for catered party
We've catered parties with BBQ - ribs, fried chicken, BBQ chicken etc. Not sure where you're located but we used Adam's Rib.

I am going to call them. I mentioned to DH about doing a bbq food and he said not everyone would like it. But it is something different than the usual italian food. Plus, the party is going to be a baseball theme so it kind of goes
