Food poisoning, tummy bug or just pregnancy symptoms?

Wanna know how I rung in the New Year?? Huddled in a ball in the bathroom, wrapped around the toilet

Last night, around 8pm we ate at a cute little Greek restuarant we've been to before - DH had the striped bass and shared some with me and I had Tilapia with jumbo lump crab meat on top. It was too rich for me so I only had 3-4 bites and Dh had some too.

At around 12pm, the room started spinning, I broke out in a cold sweat, and ran to the bathroom and spent a good hour hovered over the toilet hoping and praying I could just throw up but nothing came out.

Went to bed and then at 2am woke up in a cold sweat, achey belly and I ran to the bathroom. TMI but I had the WORST diarrhea I fell back asleep for an hour but then I woke up feeling the same and had a repeat. One more repeat of this at 5am, and at this point I was shaking, so nauseaus, spent and exhausted that I think my body couldn't handle it anymore so I started throwing up, but of course had no food in my belly so I was dry heaving for 20 minutes.

Fell asleep and woke up at 8am. I was able to drink some ginger ale, eat some jello and saltines and fell back asleep. I haven't had another incident since 5am and have been able to keep bland food down and have been drinking lots to rehydrate, and have been napping on and off throughout the day.

Now, I finally feel back to normal...

So what's the verdict? Possible food poisoning? 12 hour tummy bug? Or could this just be incredibly bad m/s??

You think the baby is ok from all of that??

Ugh I am so sorry. If it was food poisioning I would think your DH would have been sick as well.

Could be MS. Or a little bug.

Hope you feel better!

Your baby is fine. I barfed for 9 months with each of my boys and they were fine!
