foods to help a 11 month old gain weight
I'm asking for a coworker who needs to fatten her little guy up. He's on the small side and is starting to slowly lose weight.
Does anyone have suggestions on what to feed him to fatten him up? He's on all table foods...
TIA!

He should be having all full fat cheeses, yogurt, ice cream, etc... Avacado is a good fat.

In a month he will start on whole milk, and our ped said we could add Ovaltine for extra calories (and taste). We actually started whole milk at 11 months.

My first instict was to name healthy fat foods - like the cheese.
My second instinct was to question his weight loss...If she just gives him fattening foods, it maybe be masking another issue.
I know my DS goes thru periods of growth spurts and eats a lot, and then he barely eats. Sometimes it seems like he's losing weight.
If her DC just started walking/running more when he became more active he might just be burning more cals.
Is her ped concerned?
